Translucent glass is 3mm coloured glass that is not clear to look through like normal glass, but is"milky" or opalised. It varies from solid colours to streaks and swirls of different colours or tones and is ideal for mosaicing as it does not need light shining through it to bring out the colour. It is also great for making lampshades as when the light is on, it lights up the glass rather than just shining through.

Glass listed as "wispy" is a relatively clear or see-through glass, with swirls of white or other colours through it.
